"Go!" you whisper and he runs out into the hall and disappears.

Your mother stops at the frame of your door, "Did you know anything about a business trip?" she says with one brow raised.

You shrug innocently, "No, why?"

"I guess the universe works on your side, I have to go to Seoul for work tomorrow. I got called in for a course with the finance department." she says and you smile wide, acting surprised.

"No way!" you say, standing up off your bed and clapping your hands.

"Yeah, but i'll have to be working most of the time, I know you're responsible so, if you can, go around town and see colleges on your own. Is that okay?" she asks and you nod going to hug her.

"Thank you." you say.

"Don't thank me, thank my company." she smiles, running her hand through your hair and caressing your cheek, "Now you won't whine anymore." she teases.

"What would you do without me?" you took your eyes, playing along.

"Go on a vacation." she chuckles.

When that comforting sound slips out of her mouth, you suddenly feel a very small ache in the very depth of your chest.

You realize it's the need for your mother, it's how much you miss her, she's here, but not really.

You don't hang out like you used to.

Even small things; she used to thrive you to and from school everyday when you were younger. You'd talk about any dreams you had that night, crushes you had at school, art you made and what they meant, what you did that day at the playground, what new fact you learned in class.

You miss being a kid, you miss being your mothers young girl. The one who had nothing to worry about, other than eat sleep and just have fun.

You look at her and go in for another hug which she gladly accepts, "What's this for?"

"I don't know." you say, your quick changing emotions confusing even yourself.

"The trip is a week long, that's what the email said, so pack some bags, we'll take a train there tomorrow morning, be ready by seven, please." she says and walks out and back downstairs.

Jungkook walks out of what used to be his room when they were staying here and smiles wide, "It all worked out." he says.

"Yeah, but what happens when she gets to her work there and she realizes they never actually needed her." you ask, not too optimistic about the plan, it's too simple for a situation so complicated.

"Drugs." he smirks.

"That's an evil smile, I don't like it." you say, sitting on your bed.

"We'll drug her." he says and you get offended.

"Are you serious? You're not drugging my mother what the hell is wrong with you?" you say and he laughs.

"Relax, it was a joke."

"Not a good one." you roll your eyes. "But seriously, how do we keep her in one place? I don't want her to get hurt." you state the obvious.

"I don't know. I can't say anything because I don't have the guys I don't know what they're doing. Just get there and we'll figure something out." he says and opens your closet, bending down to get something shoved deep inside.

"I know you used to live here but you don't have the privileges you had then." you say as he continues to dig through your closet.

"As if you have anything to hide, you're Y/N." he says and finally finds what he was looking for, an old duffel bag you used when your school had a trip to Jeju Island.

"How would you know? What if I was hiding it?" you give a teasing smile.

"Yeah, just pack your stuff and keep dreaming." he says and you blow a raspberry at him.

He hops onto the bed and stretches his arms, yawning while you start to grab some clothes and shove it in the bag, "Are you nervous for university?" he asks and you shrug.

"Only nervous for how different life will be, I'm so excited to do criminology though." you answer, packing two pairs of sweatpants.

"Remember our first day of high school?" he asks, getting under your sheets uninvited.

"Bad day, I block out bad days." you shake your head making him giggle slightly.

"You were so nervous you fell in...what was it? Our first biology class?" he says, smiling too wide for your satisfaction so you throw a shirt at him making him laugh more.

"I was late, I couldn't find the class and so everyone was staring at me, I got nervous and stumbled on my own feet. Move on." you say and he continues laughing.

"You were so introverted you didn't even say anything. You just stood up and sat at the back and the teacher took a while to speak again because everyone was so confused." he continues laughing and you throw another shirt at him, this time hitting him multiple times.

"Okay! Truce!" he says hiding himself under the sheets.

"You suck." you say, getting a makeup bag and packing your essentials in it from your vanity.

"No, you're just awkward."

"Ha ha." you say with full sarcasm.

"I'm sorry." he whines, getting off the bed and turning your face to his.

You don't change your expression, "I'm just trying to change the mood." he smiles, pulling you in for a hug.

"Fine." you try to sound annoyed but you secretly feel better.

"You know I love you." he says, rubbing circles on your back, relaxing you.

"I wish everything stayed the same." you mumble into his hoodie.

I'm sorry we're bad people." he mumbles into your hair, kissing the top of your head.

He pulls you away and looks into your eyes, he notices your wet cheeks and wipes with his thumb, frowning, "You'll have your own life to worry about soon, you won't have to be so caught up on us, I promise the pain will go away." he tries to smile but fails and instead pulls you back for another hug.

"It'll go away soon." he mumbles again.
